I came to teaching later in life. I am a 50 something person and I remember when our family got a color TV. I remember before microwave ovens. I remember the first hand held calculator that my uncle gave me from Texas Instruments. It was expensive! I remember learning to use a slide rule and I thought it was cool. I can't remember how to use it now. My dad got the first PC that I ever saw, it was before windows! I think that started me off wanting not to be left behind. That was in the 80's. Thank goodness technology does not cost as much now as it did then! I am walking around with a computer in my purse now!
Elaine MathenyThis blog is a diary of my work as a TIS. I appreciate all the teachers that allow me into their classrooms and into their lives! I hope my readers will find inspiration for their roles here as well. Archives
